Martinhal Beach Resort Review

Sara Whittaker one of our top Algarve Travel Consultants has just travelled to our Martinhal Beach Resort with her family, read her blog :

‘There is a magic about the Martinhal Beach resort…hidden amongst a nature
Reserve over looking the Portuguese section of the Atlantic Ocean. There is an abundance of facilities for children of all ages,  indoors and out doors. With 5 heated Pools, Children’s Club ,Tennis courts, fully equipped gym  and a trot to the beach there is always plenty
to do! There is also plenty of choice  of Restaurants  from fine Portuguese Dining to  Italian menus &  snacks around the Pool.

The Martinhal Hotel Beach Rooms (where we stayed) have amazing interiors with refreshing colours and traditional Portuguese features and staggering sea views, as do many of the villas. Choose between the Martinhal Hotel or the sumptuously appointed Ocean view houses or private villas with their own pools, these tend to be our most popular for families at the Martinhal. Interesting to note though the hotel is shortly to re launch, as a more family friendly hotel with inter connecting family rooms.

Although the journey time from Faro is a little longer than our average Algarve transfer, I
would say it is worth it for a different more natural resort experience.  Even when the Resort
is almost full, we  found it easy to find peace and quiet. The Martinhal Beach resort is spacious and well thought out. …. if you have time a beach walk to Sagres is a lovely way to end the day.’ Sara travelled at Half Term with her family and has worked with Design Holidays in our Algarve Travel Team since 2006.
