DINING
Diners at the Hotel Quinta do Lago may choose from two restaurants each with its own distinct character: Brisa do Mar and Cá d’ Oro Brisa do Mar is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Portuguese and International cuisine. Cá d’Oro is open only for dinner, Italian cuisine. Also overlooking the Formosa Estuary is the Laguna Bar, an elegant piano bar which affords patrons the opportunity to enjoy an evening cocktail or long drink while contemplating the marvellously memorable sunset.
RELAXING AT THE QUINTA DO LAGO
The Quinta do Lago beach is one of most exclusive beaches in the Algarve; located a short walk from the hotel this sandy beach is a haven for sunbathers. Set in the heart of the Ria Formosa Natural Park visitors may enjoy the bird watching and natural flora of the Lagoon as they walk to the beach. During the summer guests may enjoy our private beach club which offers towels, lounge chairs, beach umbrellas, water and fresh fruit. If you wish you may also visit other nearby beaches such as the Ancão, Vale do Garrão or the Vale do Lobo beaches.

HISTORIC ALGARVE
Visit the historical seaport town of Lagos where new and old live in harmony. See the modern marina with its luxurious yachts. Visit the old slave market and the beautiful St. Anthony's Church, one of the best examples of the Baroque style in the Algarve. In the town of Silves, in Moorish times the capital of the Algarve, you can visit the castle which dates from this period and affords magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. CLIMATE
All year round, the Algarve enjoys the best climate in Europe. With only a short period of rainfall (it normally rains between November and March) and long hours of sunshine (the highest in Europe), the Algarve region is blessed with the perfect weather for tourism.
During the summer months, temperatures are quite high. The Algarve is a veritable paradise for bathers. It is a region endowed with beaches of fine white sand all along its extensive coastline and a calm sea with water temperatures of around 22°C in the summer period.
Due to its relief and geographical position, the Algarve is influenced climatically by the European continent, North Africa, the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean. The maximum temperatures in the Algarve vary, throughout the year, between 15ºC and 31°C and the temperature never falls below zero in the winter.
