Location: Antigua, Fuerteventura approx 12 miles from Fuerteventura Airport (FUE) approx 8 minutes by taxi.The luxurious Sheraton Fuerteventura Golf & Spa Resort is beautifully situated just moments from endless golden sands and gentle blue waves. Combining modern style and a Canarian design with traditional Spanish influences, guests can relax after a round of golf at one of the two golf courses located next to the hotel, with a swim in either of the glorious pools, or a massage in the Hespéreides Thalasso Spa ( no Spa access for under 17 year olds )

Free child accommodation for up to 2 children under 12 when sharing with parents on two single sofa beds. The comfortable guest rooms have the Sheraton 'Sweet Sleeper bed' with a separate bath and shower cabin. There is 24 hour room service and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Rooms can be inter-connecting some having disabled access. There are private terraces or balconys and non smoking rooms. Wireless internet facilities in each room at an extra daily cost. The resort welcomes families with open arms. Yambaland Children's Club caters for children aged 4-12 years and children's menus are available in Los Arcos buffet restaurant and La Veranda Mediterranean restaurant. Yambaland Kids Club caters for ages 4-12 years and is open daily from 10:00 - 17:30. Please note that children aged 2-3 years are able to use the club from 10:00 - 12:00. The club is free of charge (local charges for lunch and babysitting apply) and has an open-air garden and outdoor playground. The programme includes entertainment and activities organised by animators.

FUERTEVENTURA AVERAGE TEMPERATURES AND RAINFALL

With three thousand hours of sunshine a year, Fuerteventura is the closest Canary Island to the African coast with only 100km separating the 'Punta de la Entallada' from Cape Juby in Morroco and is the second largest (after Tenerife) of all the islands. The weather conditions of Fuerteventura are very similar to Florida and Mexico which are on the same latitude, which make this the ideal holiday location. There is nowhere else in the Canaries with as many enormous sand dunes and long sandy beaches (more than one hundred and fifty). Even though most of the land consists of stone and rock, these are some of the most impressive beaches in the whole of Europe. Approx 98km long and 30km across at the widest point.

In the history of time Fuerteventura is generally regarded as the oldest of all the Canaries and its strange contours come from various volcanic episodes. The last eruption occurred around 7,000 years ago so you're pretty safe. Should you wish to see some volcanic activity take a trip to the neighboring island of Lanzarote, it's well worth it. You can also take a short boat trip over to the small island of Los Lobos (only 6sqkm) and really get away from it all.
