1) Website & Brochure Description
All information and prices are correct at the time of compilation but may be subject to change. There may be slight changes in some of the facilities available during the low season or due to bad weather conditions or lack of support such as the closure of a restaurant or pool for cleaning/maintenance or closures for Religious holidays or festivals. Similarly, air conditioning and swimming pools mentioned may, at the resorts' discretion only be available at certain times of the day and/or year. We will try our best to inform you if such changes occur but cannot guarantee that we will always know in advance. All prices quoted for all accommodation, ancillary services and sporting/leisure activities are accurate at the time of compilation. We reserve the right to change prices during the holiday season, depending on commercial factors and it may be that third parties change their prices without notifying us. Once your booking has been confirmed in writing by us, however, the price on your invoice will not change, although we cannot guarantee that other facilities/activities mentioned but not pre-booked, will not alter in price prior to your arrival (e.g. golf/tennis/cots/extra cleaning/childcare etc.)
Villa information: Electricity or water supply is often not as reliable as in the U.K and short breaks in supply do sometimes occur, we cannot be held responsible for this or any other lack of facility which is beyond our control. Building work and noise are unavoidable as the demand for new accommodation increases. It is the case that some resort areas featured on the website and brochure are still being developed and therefore there is a possibility of building work or construction work, which may be carried out by local authorities or private developers. Many of our villas are also situated in residential areas and work may begin on a neighbouring property over which we have no control, nor are we given prior notice. However in any event we will always do our best to inform you in advance but if this is not possible, please accept our apologies.
2) Bookings
(i) Online bookings
When submitting your offer to purchase any product on this website at the suggested price, we will be able to accept this offer within 3 days of you submitting it. In the case of a holiday booked within 14 days of the departure date we will notify you by return e-mail if we have accepted your offer. Where you book your holiday 15 or more days in advance of the departure date we will confirm the information you have given us by return e-mail but no contract will exist until we accept your offer by posting you a booking confirmation. We will not have any contract with you for the supply of any product at the price offered until we have confirmed your booking and have received the necessary deposit and/or balance payment. (ii) All bookings are subject to our terms & conditions
a) The minimum age to make a booking is 18. Please note that the age requirements for car hire varies from 21-26 and some private villas may not take a party under 25 yrs - please phone for further information if any of these apply
b) The person who makes the booking is described as 'party leader' and is deemed to have read and understood all the terms and conditions. We are entitled to assume that all the passengers listed on the booking form have read and understood the terms and conditions. The party leader is responsible for all costs and charges related to the booking.
c) When we confirm your booking and take the appropriate payment (whether verbally or online), an invoice will be sent to you. You are responsible for supplying the correct spelling of names, dates and all other information regarding your holiday and checking that all the information we have on our confirmation/invoice is accurate. Any corrections or alterations will incur a charge as shown below, if they can be made.
d) Bookings may not be transferred or passengers substituted without the appropriate cancellation or amendment charges being levied.
e) We cannot be held responsible for any services booked by yourself in association with this reservation but not made with Design Holidays
3) Deposits and Payments
a) If you book more than 10 weeks before departure you must pay a non-refundable deposit which varies dependent on the resort but is a minimum of 20% of the total value of the booking. Please ask your sales advisor for details.
b) Final payment must then be made at least 10 weeks prior to departure. Cheques must be received 11 weeks prior to departure to allow for clearance.
c) If you book less than 10 weeks before departure you must pay the full cost of the holiday.
d) No credit card charge is made for deposit payments (or full balances if booked within 10 weeks prior to departure). All balances due on bookings made prior to 10 weeks of departure will be subject to a 2.5% surcharge if paid by credit card. No charge will be levied for balances paid by Switch, Delta or cheque.
e) All payment must be received by the due date; otherwise we will consider the holiday as being cancelled by you. Cancellation charges will then be imposed. (Condition 5d) No tickets will be issued until your holiday has been paid in full.
4) Insurance
It is a condition of booking that you have adequate holiday insurance which can be purchased with our insurance partner, Columbus Insurance via our website, or can be arranged independently. It is your responsibility to arrange additional cover if required (e.g. any activities not covered as standard) or provide cover for additional areas of liability, if necessary, and to check the suitability of any insurance booked. Any pre-existing medical conditions must be reported to the insurance company prior to purchasing any cover.
If you or your party suffer any injury or accident during your holiday then you must report it to the resort Manager in order that an insurance claim can be filled out on behalf of the property owner at the time, in addition to your own insurance.
5) Your Financial Security
The air holidays and flights on this website are protected by ATOL, as Design Holidays holds an Air Travel Organiser's Licence granted by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is ATOL T7183. For holidays that do not include travel by air we are also members of the Travel Trust Association and our membership number is T9546. In the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA or TTA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will refund any money you have paid to us for an advance booking. 6) Alterations or Cancellations made by you
a) A minor amendment to your holiday may incur an administration charge of £25, if it can be made (please enquire)
b) We are not obliged to reimburse you for any services not used during your holiday.
c) Any cancellation by you or any member of your party will only be valid once received in writing at our office.
d) Bookings into specific private property numbers are non transferable - any request for change/upgrade of accommodation will be deemed as a cancellation
e) The following cancellation charges will then apply.
