Design with the environment in mind

Over the years the staff and board of directors of Design Holidays have become ever increasingly worried about the eco friendliness of companies like ours in today's modern world.

Where possible we are making every effort to re use items in all of our offices all paper supplies, in order to reduce our eco wastage along with all print cartridges. All 'out dated technology' including computers / mobile phones are recycled to third world countries.

What can you do to help ?

Annually Design Holidays print over 150,000 brochures / envelopes and in an effort to reduce this effect on the environment, we are asking all clients who have internet access where possible not to request a brochure. Should the information that you wish not be on our website please contact us and we will endeavour to send you specific information via email. Each day our offices receive over 250 faxes, whilst this amount has reduced with email we would like you to help us lower this even further by using email as your chosen method of communication. When on holiday we would also ask that our clients respect each resorts housekeeping department policies and only request clean towels when absolutely necessary.

Design Holidays are pleased to announce another fantastic year for David Lloyd Raynes Park Aegon men's national league tennis team at the Aegon Team Tennis Finals. 'Having extended our existing sponsorship agreement from 2001, we have seen a fantastic improvement from regional underachievers to national Aegon Team Tennis Champions, says Johnny Barr Director of Design Holidays & David Lloyd Raynes Park player captain.

At the Aegon Team Tennis finals this July they ousted defending champions Bromley in a final between arguably the 2 best pro tennis teams in the UK. Each year we add to our squad bringing in world class tennis talent and 2011 was no exception with our squad of : Lee Childs, Tom Burn, Colin Beecher, David Rice , Marcus Willis , James Marselak , Jamie Feaver, Glen Kumah Minta, Neil Bamford, Matt Leahy, James Lloyd , Tim Patient and player captain Johnny Barr.

Design Holidays are also proud to support the Desborough Cup ,which is an exclusive annual invitational golf day founded by the late Lord Desborough in 1913 for tennis players of International / County & Club level - traditionally held at the best golf courses at preferential rates.  Design Holidays involvement in tennis also extends to us supporting UK tennis talent, by helping to fund raise for Tennis First.
